Pacifist run after genocide
And if you're anything like me, you put it off.and put it off.and then an entire fan base of excited teenagers formed, and that intimidated you a little bit.so you put it off some more.then you see a bit too much erotic fan art of the chubby skeleton's energy penis.so you put it off a little more than that.until one day, the year is 2021, and you're 27. When people start throwing around accolades like "generation defining masterpiece", or "most important game of the decade", it ends up being the kind of thing that I want to check out, but can't bring myself to start. I must admit, when Undertale first came out, I was both intrigued, but repelled. Those songs that have inadvertently shaped a micro-generation. Those songs that feel utterly inseparable from the medium they're framed around. But every once in a while, there are those truly magical soundtracks. ("Hellfire" is the best Disney song, and second place is in another postal code.) Sometimes even regular ol' albums evoke a distinctly cinematic feeling, like the three act play structure of Dream Theater's Metropolis pt. Some stories take their music a step further, using song to progress the narrative, themes, and emotions, ala Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.
PACIFIST RUN AFTER GENOCIDE PRO
Tony Hawks Pro Skater is responsible for curating my childhood musical taste, after all. See, any good soundtrack at its core, is just a collection of memorable, evocative songs. Surely every good soundtrack is part of a greater whole, so what makes for a great soundtrack, really? "Black Sheep", "Under My Thumb", and "Teenage Dream" could share space in a burnt CD without sparking confusion, but it's the mop-haired bass playing Canadian kung-fu incel that really brought those tracks together. However, if I use my usual format for album reviews, it's hard to critically assess one. We all have soundtracks that have moved us to our core. So for the three people that I'm at least kind of sure are going to leave a like on this review, this goes out to you: A video game review, AND a soundtrack review!!!Īs a child of the multimedia explosion that was the internet, I am, among other things, absolutely fascinated by the notion of a classic soundtrack. And I can certainly put aside my pretentious embarrassment to make room for the embarrassment inherent to sincerely loving this game! In fact, my decision to write this review came when I heard John Oeth's peerless guitar cover of "Once Upon a Time", and realized that even gestures toward this game were enough to get me all misty-eyed. But I noticed a hole on the website that needed filled: Someone breathlessly gushing about this weird video game for nerds, and for way too long at that rate.
I get a little wincey and ashamed when I realize I've written a review with a voice that implies I have readers. I tend to try to keep my reviews as a personal exercise of my own design, rather than an essay written specifically for an audience. If you have anything to ask, just ask me.Thank you AOTY, for 100 followers! For this occasion, I wanted to review something a little weird and off the beaten path, but also something thats very important to me. If there is anything i've mistaken about this or any missed facts, do comment me down there! Also, instead of the original picture where Frisk and the others were, it will change where Frisk is replaced by Chara and the others faces are with X.
Instead with the white THE END text, the color will turn red then usual endings. Then (again), Toriel will enter the room and put a slice of pie on the floor, (as usual) and then you will flip facing the screen, your face would turn into Chara's face and the screen went black with a low pitched Flowey's original laugh. Then, after you dodge all the names, a bedroom will appeared at the screen while you, the player is sleeping on the bed (NOTE: if you want this to happen, you must stay with Toriel.) Soon, you are in a your soul mode and you have to dodge all the creators of the game's names. Then, the credits will roll and showed the normal THE END screen. After you've done with the true pacifist route after fighting Omega Flowey, you will walk out from the underground and united with the main characters in the game (except Mettaton). If you want to get this route, you must do the genocide run first and then reset and do pacifist route (using your old save file if i'm not mistaken).
